As locals who love all the seasons the UP has to offer, this transition from summer into fall is one of our favorites. When we’re not running half marathons or cooking up something good for the family, we’re making the most of these last long days—getting to the cabin on Shakey Lakes, spending time on the bay, and enjoying the outdoors before the cooler weather settles in. Our rescue German Shepherd and Banjo keep our home lively, and JJ, Walsh, and I also serve in the Civil Air Patrol here in Menominee, giving back to the community we’re proud to call home.
